I was reading a friend's blog just now and was a bit overwhelmed by how our feelings as parents for our children are only a small glimpse of how the Lord must feel about us as His children. Erin was talking about how her son has been really sick this summer and explaining the anguish of her "Mother's Heart" wanting so desperately for her son to be well. It must be the same but only more so as the Lord looks down at us with his perfect love and wants us so desperately to do what's right and serve Him. The sickness of soul that He must see in us as we choose our own way and the consequences that come from those choices must break His heart, much like we feel as we watch our children suffer. God is so good to us and we can learn so much from Him as our heavenly Father. What a mighty God we serve! And what a great example of parenting He gives to us.

Debbie...THANK YOU sooo much for posting this. It meant so much to me! And what great expounding you did on the lessons I am learning first handedly! PRAISE THE LORD that we made it to his first 3 week mark (sunday 10-7)without getting sick!!! He is definitely his "boyish" self!! Thank you for your prayers!!
